An alternator, also known as a generator, is a vehicle component that converts the mechanical energy of the engine into electrical energy in order to charge the vehicle battery and supply the vehicle’s electrical systems with electricity. The structure of an alternator consists of a rotor, a stator, a voltage regulator and a rectifier, among other things, which work together to convert the generated alternating voltage into direct voltage. The rotation of the rotor generates an electrical voltage in the coils of the stator, which is then conducted via the rectifier to the vehicle’s electrical systems via the battery. The remanufactured alternators from Encory offer you the same quality and functionality as a new part – reliable and resource-saving.
When reconditioning an alternator, the carbon brushes, voltage regulator and bearings are replaced, among other things. The rotor and stator are checked for damage and, if necessary, overhauled or replaced to ensure reliable power generation. Once the assembly process is complete, the remanufactured Encory alternator is subjected to an end-of-line test that corresponds to the original part to ensure perfect functioning.
