    Core return and identification of the used part to determine the exact steering gear variant and configuration

    Teardown and cleaning of housing, rack, pinion, seals, bushings, bearings and electronics

  • 3.

    Inspection of mechanical components for quality and dimensional accuracy, plus sensors and electronic systems (EPS)

  • 4.

    Testing of mechanical components against strict requirements, with replacement where required

  • 5.

    Replacement of non-reusable elements (seals, bushings, bearings, electronics where required)

  • 6.

    Reassembly with precise adjustment of all mechanical parameters, to OE specification

  • 7.

    Final test of assistance, leak tightness (hydraulics), EPS communication and NVH behaviour
